Hi, I’m Lori!
Oh, hi there! Thank you for stopping by to peruse a sampling of our electronic portfolio! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Lori DeNicola, I am the owner and lead designer of Petaloso. I have been working in the floral industry for over a decade, my love for flowers began in college. I had been in the world of the arts my entire life and was looking for a new creative outlet. I was fortunate enough to intern with a very talented designer, and my obsession with flowers took off. I have a love for all things earthbound and am tremendously grateful for the opportunity to spend each day doing what I most love to do. Creating and collaborating with our clients is just one of the amazing perks of my job. Nothing beats the reward of watching our clients’ faces light up the day of their wedding or event once they’ve seen how we’ve executed their vision. I am a creative at heart and I find my inspiration in music, nature, art and the little things in life, because let’s be real, the little things in life are the big things.
My body of work includes designing weddings, creating unique floral installations, planning fundraisers and creating unique art and community events. I have studied floral design in many cities with many incredible florists, including, Chicago, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and London under designers such as Holly Chappel, Francois Weeks, Amy Merrick, Amy Osaba and Christy Hulsey to name a few. I love to travel, can you tell?! Just another perk of the work!
Some fun facts about me… I am a water child. When I’m not in the studio creating floral arrangements for our clients you can catch me on the water paddle boarding, in a yoga studio attempting to find my balance or spending time with my family in our beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina. I am passionate about my community and volunteer my time for many local causes. If I were a flower I would be a hybrid Fringe Tulip. They’re bright and colorful, often multi-colored, and even after a Tulip has been cut from its roots it continues to grow. That’s right, you can’t keep a Tulip down! Let’s chat flowers, I want to know your flower story.
I cannot wait to meet you and collaborate on your special event!
